Happy Birthday to All of Us!
It's pretty self explanatory - I make stuff and want to show you.
Image's of the Week on ScaneLife will feature Art, Photography, Furniture, Videos and more so check back every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to see the new image.
This first one is from last summers trip to France. It was taken in Ménerbes in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region ( South of France ). Dora Maar, one of Picasso's lovers and later wife to artist Nicolas de Staël lived in Ménerbes.
ScaneLife has been redesigned to be cleaner, faster and more efficient at putting images of art, photography and furniture into your eyes!
There are new images in the California, Italy and Dubai Photo Galleries with more to come and all images on the site will appear larger for better viewing. Also, over the next couple of weeks there will be something really exciting happening for those of you who want to start "collecting".....more to come.

I finally edited and uploaded some photos taken in London from a 2010 trip. We were only there for 3 days as it was our final stop before heading back home after almost 2 months in Italy and France. Mostly we went to London so I could go to the National Gallery which has one of my favorite paintings, Rembrandt's "A Woman bathing in a Stream (Hendrickje Stoffels?)". Only 2 paintings have ever brought me to tears (not sure why...but it really doesn't matter) and this is one of them. The other is a Philip Guston from the L.A. County Museum of Art - LACMA.
Although I've had a horrible cold for over a week now, it's been a good opportunity to do some photo editing. I've added another 50 photos from my 2010 trip to Italy. Originally I had processed all the photos using Apple's Aperture 3 but recently it has become very slow and frustrating to work with so I made a switch to Adobe's Lightroom 4. I've spent weeks of time learning the program and reprocessing all of the photos for ScaneLife but I like it much better than Aperture now. I still have a lot of photos from the 2010 Italy and France trip to go through before I can start on our 2011 Italy trip. My goal is to finish all these photos before I leave this summer for another trip to Italy, France and Dubai. So stay tuned, more galleries to come!
